Chapter 8
Ian is asked by his teacher, Mrs. Watkins, to talk to the class about his volunteer assignment.  The class is invited to share words that they think are related to homelessness.  

At the beginning of the story, Ian had the same ideas about homeless street people.  Now, he had a different point of view.  He disagrees with his classmates.  For example,

"Ian?" Mrs. Watkins said.  "Are these street people worthless."  I shook my head slowly.  "Nobody is worthless."
